Chronology of cameras Butcher
Midg was the name of a series of detective-type cameras. In the 1913/14 catalog, there were five models: Numbers 0 and 00 were the simplest models, while Numbers 1, 2, and 3 were more advanced, notably because of their Lukos shutter, which was fully accessible through a front door.

The No. 1, 2, and 3 are made of wood, covered with imitation leather. Their shutter is a Lukos, of the central type. The exact model is II for Midg 1 and 2, and III for Midg No. 3. It is possible to trigger directly on the optical block by opening the front door, but it is impractical, so a passage has been provided on the left side to pass a cable release to connect to the shutter. Opening the door is still necessary to adjust the speed and aperture. The focus distance is set by moving the shutter/lens block back and forth. A slider on the right side controls this movement.
